I am sure the 8GB will work, didn't know there was a 16GB. I just got a Lexar 133X 4GB, and I see slower format and start up and shut down than with my 2GB 133X. Several people confirmed the same thing. I am keeping the 4GB as my main card, but no way would I consider anything larger.

Thanks all. So I better of to buy few of 2GB instead of the larger size.

Have you ever compare the speed of the Lexar 133x with the Extreme III or IV? Are they pretty much the same?

Take a look at http://dyxum.com/reviews/cfcard/index.asp?sortparam=man

One of the interesting thing is how much the speed differs with different cameras, seems the A100 is much faster than the 5d which is a bit faster than the 7d.

I have a Sandisk Extreme III 2Gb and it holds 333 pictures at full jpeg resolution. More than enough for me!

On the rare occasion I'll fill it up and have no access to a PC, I can transfer (although very slow) the pics onto my iPod and clear the CF card.

Thanks for the link. I had always understood that KM required FAT 32 formatting. Apparently this is not the case.
