There are some great pictures in this thread.

One of my favorite portrait lensesis the Tamron 90mm. It may be a little tight for indoor work. I love it's color rendition and it's a joy for outdoor work. Below id one of the first shots I took with it when I bought it.

At work on Friday night, the crew shot off a 32lb cannon. I could have done a bit better composition, but I didn't realize how far out of the muzzle the blast would extend. Tamron 28-300XR

That reminds me of a shot I took of some fireworks launching from a Picnic Table. I don't consider it to be a "favorite pic". But, the blast is interesting none the less.

Hand Held, 1/2 second at 35mm and f/5 using a Minolta 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5
