Hello Frank!

I think is a "Telescope" with a an adapter for KM/Sony cameras!

Forget; "Your Dream"... a 17-500mm lens...NEVER will be made!!! Seriously!!!

Peace,

Alex 007:|
Hello Alex,

But it's nice to dream .....

When do you get your new Tamron?

--FrankD

Hello Frank!

Our locally oficial Tamron representative here in Israel, wrote me that at the end of this month will be here...I'm very patiently!!!

Peace,

Alex 007:|
I can't wait to see pictures from the 18-250mm, which should be the ultimate walk-about lens provided that light is not an issue. I don't expect it to be much different in quality than the 28-300 and hopefully it will be better.
Just phone to our local Tamron representative...told me that will be here in Israel at the END of April:?

I also hope that i will NOT need to change lenses anymore for my "Good Light" shoots. Still remaining patiently...

The "Wide Angle" 27mmm is very important for me...as now I have 36mm wide with my Minolta 24-85mm vintage zoom lens!:G

Peace,

Alex 007:|

The 24-85mm is a nice lens. I just wish it was 2.8
Yes I also greed...but if will take so long to obtain the newer 18-250mm Tamron, maybe...i will order the 24-135mm "Film" designed lens...instead?:?

Yes, already I own the 36mm wide with my originally, Minolta one...OK..less "Telephoto"...but???:?

Peace,

Alex 007:|

Hello Minolta/Sony owners!

OK...my first picture in this forum, with my newer "Travel" super zoom Tamron A-18S 18-250mm lens which I decided to use it all the time, avoiding any chance to change lenses...(Keeping ALWAYS...my body sensor "Spotless Clean").:P

You estimate/evaluate or & pass judgment...how good is my received lens example!:homey:

Peace,

Folks!

Another example from a near spot as the previously one!

Also; I forgot to say, that it's also my first time that I use with my 7D body the "P" in green color. Full "Idiot" setting...:P

Enjoy!:G

Peace,

That new Tamron 18-250 was just tested by PopPhoto: http://www.popphoto.com/cameralenses...-ii-macro.html. It is rated "excellent" at all focal length. No reason to ever take it off unless you need a faster lens.

I wonder how it compares to the Tamron 28-300 XR, which I personally also find excellent.
