I don't have access to my camera manual and I have a silly newbie question. Is there a way to change the numbering sequence on photos. On my old Olympus, the photos were numbered by month, date, photo number. So a photo taken today would be PICT020201. Right now when my photos are transferred to my computer, they're just in a number sequence.

Thanks.

Hi,

Go to the Menu look for the blue "*" and go to number 2 of the three pages.

find folder name - and you havbe two choices 1. "Date Form" and 2. "Std. form"

I like date form as the date is incorporated into the directory it is stored in.

Pictures have the PICTXXXX format. I don't care much for that. It the directories

that I care about as each day's photes are in a different directory so I know where to look and find them. After backing them up, I delete the first three digits which only stands for KM and Maxxum 7 and a sequence number. The other 5 digits are year,

month and day - y/mm/dd.
