You are so correct. It is a one time event that will not be repeated. I was worried until I was at home and had unloaded the pictures to two computers and external hard drive. I am not sure how the professionals can do this every week. I think I would need a straight jacket.

I have a friend who has just finished in the final 3 for wedding photographer of the year in the UK so this is her life and she thrives on it. She has a photographic assistant on hand at all times and an extra person who purely works in the studio to edit the photos for printing. She works with Canon 5D's and sometimes will still run with medium format for a change in certain situations as for very large prints the dynamic ranges are far better.

I can understand the need for an assistant at a wedding shoot. I do not print any photos. I burn the images to a DVD and give them to the couple. Since I am not doing the shooting for money it saves me the headache of printing.
