Sony had issued a recall a while back to fix the problem for free. Precision camera did a fine job on my 5D. I am not sure if you can still get it done, but try.

just my luck

it only happens when i first turn on the camera

so far i have realised it does not happen all the time

i was told to quickly turn off the camera then turn it back on:idea:

so far this has worked, keeping my fingers crossed, this will fix it all the time

In some cases it gets worse and stops working so I would try to get it fixed.

meanstreak, give him the link to the Sony site which describes the "recall". I don't have it handy. Thanks.
