If anyone hasn't seen this yet, some of the Sony sites have a pretty neat flash presentation available on the Alpha 700:

Several users on the forum at DP Review will be receiving their A700 today or in the next couple of days.

Yep... I've heard that some people that ordered their A700 early from sonystyle.com have received e-mails that they've already been shipped. So, we should start seeing some user reports and images from A700 users soon.

Received my email from Sonystyle today. My A700 (body only) is being shipped today to arrived on the 26th. I will post some photos with a few days of receiving the camera.

Congrats.

One question in my mind is if the A700 is more or less sensitive than it's rated ISO speed (the A100 was more sensitive than set).

So, if you have a chance to take some test photos using the same subjects and settings (aperture, shutter speed, iso speed, white balance) with more than one camera, that would be an interesting test to see if it's exposing brighter or darker than another camera with the same conditions/settings.

Fedex delivered it one day early. I installed the battery and it had a 20% life remaining. It allowed me to set the date and time and take a few pictures and play with the controls. I will let the battery full charge and continue to familiarize myself with the camera.
What has impressed me:
1. Th FN button. What a great way to change settings on the fly.
2. Focus is fast and spot on.
3. The feel of the camera in the hand. It feels great.
4. The LCD screen is bright and big.

I have alot to learn about this camera. I will post some pics later on.
