3- I may purchase the SONY 70-200 F2.8 in the future, can Ithe Tamron and Kenko TC on this lens? The link that JimC gave me for Minolta TC stated that the Minolta TC does not work for the 70-200 and will damage both if used. I want to have the 1.4x TC that can work perfectly on the 200mm F2.8 and 70-200 F2.8.
The issue appears to be with the 80-200mm f/2.8 lenses, not the newer 70-200mm f/2/8 SSM.

For more versatility with other lenses, I'd probably go with the Kenko Pro. But, if I wanted to stick with the supported G grade Minoltas, I'd probably get the Minolta TC (but, the Minolta TC may not work with third party lenses, or lenses like the 100mm f/2, 135mm f/2.8, etc.). The Minolta TC is only designed to work with a few of the higher grade lenses.

B&H has the 1.4x Kenko Pro for $179:

BTW, it's my understanding that the latest Tamron SP version is the same TC.

I'd stick to the 1.4x version for less degradation in image quality and less light loss (and that also means better compatibility with more lenses, since you may need f/2.8 with a 2x TC and get f/4 to work fine with a 1.4x TC). Remember, you lose a stop of light with a 1.4x TC and lose 2 stops of light with a 2x TC.

I have the Sigma 100-300 F4 and the 1.4x EX DG TC, the reason I want to add the 1.4x or 2x TC to the 200 F2.8 because it's smaller and lighter then the Sigma 100-300, but since the APO TC is so expensive, I think I better of saving the money for something else (CZ 85 F1.4). Thanks all for the advice.
