I have given some thought to having a focus screen put in my A700. Has anyone done this? I have come across only one company that offers such a service.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I saw a long post (including photos of the process) from someone replacing the screen in their 5D a while back over at dyxum.com.

But, I haven't seen anyone that's done it with the A700 yet (although I'm sure some users have). The A700's focus screen is designed to be replaceable if memory serves. But, I don't know if Sony offers other focus screens for it or not.

Sometimes a different screen can impact your metering. So, be aware of that possibility if you decide to swap it.
