I'm a very impulsive person who tends to jump too quicklyand buy thingsw/o doing the proper research at times and when it come to camera lenses, it gets even worse. So, I recentlybought theTamron 28-105, wPicasa):

The APO versions have a much better reputation (of course, they sell for 3 or 4 times as much, too).

That one seems to be doing a good job.
