Does anyone know if the battery for the a100 will work with the a300? Thanks for your help!

The Sony NP-FM500H Rechargeable Battery Pack is used by all Sony dSLRs.

Thanks. I got a reply on another forum that the original battery for the 100 is not compatible, but the new one with subsequent models will fit all, including the 100. I've searched and searched and can't find out if that's true.

The original battery for the Sony A100 was the NP-FM55H, which, despite the fact that itweighs 9/16 x 13/16 x 2 1/4 and it's dimensions are 2.8oz ([suB]:-)[/suB])[suB],[/suB]seems identical in most respects to the current NP-FM500H.

But there are some minor differences, and the devil is in the details. The new battery provides slightly more power and current than the old one.

They do look identical. Do you know if I can use the FM55 with the 300?
