Thanks. I think I want the 700 and average lens for know. I have a 28mm 2.8, the standard 17-800, and a sigma 70-300 3.5-4.5 i would be better off buying a 700 and a good flash. Thanks

And, while shooting a wedding, which lens would you put on which body?

I'd suggest usingthe kit 18-70 on the A300 and the 28 on the A700. I'd also suggest getting flashes for both bodies.

What about A700 w/ 18-200 lens and a good flash and A300 w/ 28mm 2.8?

The 18-200 is soft throughout it's range. I think putting it on an A700 would be a terrible waste.

Plus the 18-200 is a big lens. I've heard people complain that it blocks the flash at short focal lengths, though that may only be for the built-in flash.

Another consideration is that the A700 is a heavy camera and the 18-200 is a heavy lens. Together, they may be difficult to handle.

What do you think about used camera bodies?

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"As for lenses. What about A700 w/ 70-300 Tamron and A300 2/ 28mm?

Not unless you get a good warranty.

What do you aniticipate using a 70-300 lens for at a wedding?

I'm partial to medium telephoto lenses myself (I don't like the perspective wide angle lenses give) but I can't imagine needing to go to 300mm indoors. I once saw a photographer (probably not a pro) walking around an event I was attending, with a Nikon D200 and a Sigma 50-500. It was huge and unwieldy, and sometimes she had to be in the next room to get a shot of the speakers. I can't imagine that, shooting an indoor event with an APS-C dSLR, that you would ever need anything longer than 150, so why carry around a 300? Sigma has a 50-150mm f/2.8 that will soon be available for the Sony. I can't think of a better focal length for what you want to do.

But I only ever shot one wedding. It was some time ago. It did not go well. Do with that what you will.

It seemsthe 28mm f/2.8 is the sharpest lens in your arsenal, and that's why I'd pair it with the A700.
