Hi i have the Sony A300 and have just recently bought the Sony 75/300mm lens, then i started reading all the good reports on the 300g lens and thought i made a mistake in buying the 75/300 though they only cost me $300 dollars compared to $1100 for the g lens still i was itching for better quality images until today when i snapped my best bird pic, then i compared it to some images taken with the 300g lens and i came to the conclusion that my 75/300 pics look better..
pic below taken with the 75/300 lens.

Good to know that. Your photo looks good.

I don't have a 75-300 lens to compare. However, comparing my recently purchased 70-300 G with Tamron 28-300, the Sony 300G is clearly a winner, particularly at 300 end.
