I am looking to upgrade my 75-300 kit lens with the 70-300G lens. MY question is. Having only 10.2 mega-pixels in the A200, is this lens designed for the higher end "A" bodys with more mega-pixelsor willit compliment my camera?

Pixels are not relevent.

Good glass is good glass.

Your camera will like you and you will like the results.

If the reason you want to replace the 75-300 is in your images, then it's designed for lower end "A" bodies with less mega-pixels that you have.

You can get a bigger, better, faster camera body if you want to, but the 70-300 'G' will definately improve the images you get from your A200.

I just got a 70-300 G to replace the kit lens on my A-100, all I can say is wow!

I'm only an amatuer at this but here's a few shots from Classic fighters 2009

Have done some post processing on some of them, cropping, noise reduction, sharpening (probably too much actually). No CA in the images is a huge plus over the kit lens, will get some more shots posted later.

molenz,

Great photos man! They are as sharp as I had imagined. I love the way you captured the heat signiture from the chopper in the first pic. Thanks for the post, you just made my mind up for me for sure!

Thanks again, Joe.
