My dear A-900 owners & fans,

Today Saturday, decided to fit my unused for more of a decade Sigma Apo 70-300mm lens brought for my film Maxxun 9xi body... what you say about...

Was needed to go up till 6400 ISO...as my hands today are NOT so steady as when was younger...!

Of course was "Imperative" to PP using also noise reduction among my "Normal" PP steps!

Inputs will be as always kindly welcomed!

Peace.

You're looking healthy in the new photo taken of you, and it looks like you're having fun with the camera.

Hopefully, the Sigma will hold up OK. I've seen some reports of stripped gears in Sigma 70-300mm lenses used on newer Sony bodies (probably because of the faster focus motor in them). But, an older Sigma may be built differently. If you want to be safer, you may want to set your AF Drive speed to slow (you should see a setting for it somewhere if it's like my A700).

Have a nice day & a lovely weekend, my dear Jim,

OK...I 100% accepted your cute advise...so...when will fit again this lens...will be set the focus to "Slow"...for avoid any "Stripped" gears...bravo!!!

But for the Minolta 24-85 & my 100mm macro...I will use the fast focus...!

Peace.

Hello Dave,

Just today I show my A900 to a Nikon enthusiastic Pro photographer (D2x + D3 + Top grade newer lenses)!!!.

On his PC show us at "Fine" compression 7.5mbs...I use always Extra Fine...so "Must" be more mbs size?.

Peace,

Alex 007
