Default I'm looking for a vest ...

... with a pocket that will hold a Beercan.

My dog chewed off the corners of my camera bag, and I'm tired of carrying around a camera bag anyway.

Anybody have any experience with vests?

TCav, be sure to get one that holds at least 6 beercans!

Or cold packs at least.

Seriously Tcav, I asked this question on another site and some of the answers I got were: I use one when I'm hiking....It makes you look more "official" (in this case the guy was shooting at the zoo and nobody harassed him because he looked like he was working)....One good suggestion was to buy a fishing vest, a lot cheaper. I'm still thinking about one, it's a lot easier than carrying a bag with several lenses & such. If you do get one, let us know how it works for you!

Sorry, I don't have answer for you. But what was the punishment for your dog?

Chewing on my nasty, old camera bag. :-)
