Nor should he come down in price. He has set his price. You can take it, or hope to buy it elsewhere. That is how business is conducted outside of the flea market.

By the way, B&H camera shows the A700 as being discontinued. Still awaiting news of an A700 replacement... any day, week, month or year. If you want a legit A700 you might want to grab the camera at your local camera store.

im starting to see small flaws in this lens. i stopped in the shop today and talked to the salesman. and she said i could bring it in and exchange it. but i would only be able to get the 18-50mm for 125.00 more or she said the 70-200 f2 would be the better one to get. but that is overall at 800.00.. so another 400 plus dollars out of pocket. she said i would have to eat the filter but, so that was 30.00 but i think with x-mas on the way i'm going to choose the lesser of the two... or should i look at the sig..

flaws/// focus is slow, pics not as sharp on anything over 100 mm so im starting to see the difference and i was not happy

Sorry to hear that.

The Sigma 17-70/2.8-4.5 that I mentioned should be around the same price, so you might be able to do an even swap.
