Default Sony sal2470z joy

Just want to share my Joy with everyone. I just got the SAL2470Z for my A900 with the HVM58AM Flash. I've been using it for a couples day and the pictures are awsome coming from the SAL2470Z.

The flash is another item that i really love. the ability to rotate at any angle you want is just perfect for wedding photography.

On another note, just hate the fact that SONY decided to put HDR on there A850 and not the A900.

I own both A700 and A900. I also have the SAL1680CZ and the SAL2470Z. Now should i sell one of them and get the A850?

just use an external program to produce your HDR. gives you more control anyways. just use an exposure bracket and continuous shooting mode, blend them later.

definately not something worth buying a new camera over, especially when you already have a superb full frame sony and a superb aps-c sony. i am sure you make many a member jealous of that kit!

AFAIK, the Sony A850 does *not* have the new Auto HDR feature, where the camera takes two photos (one exposed for highlights, the other exposed for shadows) and combines them in camera, automatically aligning them to reduce the need for a tripod.

The only models that I'm aware of that have this feature (so far) are the A500 and A550.

The only difference between the A900 and the A850 is the slower rate of continuous shooting. The A900 can do 5 fps, while the A850 can only manage 3.

Oh yeah. The A900 comes with the Remote Commander free. For the A850, it's an optional, extra cost accessory.

Other not-so-significant differences between the α900 and α850 are:
* α900 comes with hot shoe cap; and α850 does not come with it.
* viewfinder magnification in α900 is 100%; but 98% in α850.

The α850 manual says it comes with one.

Yeah, I missed that. Thanks for catching that.
