In one case I really need to go wider but other than that its a very excellent lens that I will be highly recommending.

You can't have everything in one lens if you want one that bright. Sorry, no 28-300mm f/2.8 yet (and it would be far too large and heavy to practical anyway). ;-)

Since you have two bodies, you may want to get a wider zoom like a Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 or Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8, 24-70mm f/2.8 or perhaps a prime like the Sigma 30mm f/1.4. Then use the other body for wider shots when you can't back up far enough using the 50-150mm.

Jim..... from what I have tested so far its a great lens that I wish I could have gotten sooner. Should be posting a few samples later this week. If I ever do another wedding I will use the A200 with the 28-300mm and the A700 with the 50 - 150mm.
