Default New Tamron 10-24 f/3.5-4.5

I'm considering this lens. Has anyone used this lens yet? This lens has a great zoom range to complement my Minolta 28-75 f/2.8D. Sometimes 28mm is just not wide enough with the APS-C sensor.

From what I've been able to find this lens does not see to be an overwhelmingly good lens from the test reviews. Maybe you could share some real life experiences with this lens.

If it doesn't "make the cut" I guess the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 would be the next best to compliment the Minolta lens. Constant 2.8 is very nice plus.

I've looked at that one also. I liked the range of the Tamron better. I think Sigma now has the 10-20 at a constant f/3.5 HSM. Nice.

Yea, sigma has a new 10-20 constant f3.5, but its actually not worth the price, its really not even as good of lens as their old variable aperture one.
