Default Flash Question

I am finally looking to step up from the on camera flash on the Sony a200, however price definitely is an issue. I found this Bower flash on Amazon, which I believe would be compatible and able to be used fully automatically(this would be called a ttl flash right?) But I just wanted to make sure before I ordered it and something that was completely manual showed up. Anyone able to verify this for me

I know you said that price is definitely an issue. However, if time is allowed for saving up, I would recommend Sony flashes. On top of guaranteed compatibility, you would be able to use ADI metering (with compatible lens), and wireless off-camera flashing without any third party devices.

The best non-Sony made flash is a Metz. In this case, the 48AF-1, about $200 is your best bet. Metz has good support in firmware upgrade and you can pretty pretty avoid incompatibility problems which exist in cheaper flash units.

Hey thanks guys, I figured the price was too good to be true, will definitely be saving up for the Sony flash.
