Default a330 Local focus area

How do you move the focus area from one of the 9 areas when using the local focus. I can get it to lock on the center, but for my life I cant figure it out.

No problem...just use the round pad (controller) on the back of the camera to select the other focus points. The button in the center selects the center focus point, and by pressing the outer edges of the controller, you can select the other points. Kinda like selecting hour marks on a clock dial, good luck..

I figured it out, got frustrated after you said that, it seemed too easy. Then found out you have to be in the focus screen to do so. Cant do it from live view. Now for the real kicker, whats the main reason for this? It still looks as if the entire photo is 100% focused, not just one corner.

Could be a depth of field thing, causing adjacent objects to be in focus. I guess where the selective focus (Idon't use it at all) would be handy is for a shot of say a group of people, with the emphasis one one person who may be on the edge of the frame. In all of my forty some odd years of photography, I have primarily used spot focus. I love technology, don't get me wrong, but I embrace it much more slowly and with more trepidation than most, especially those younger than me LOL..
