More precisely, the Di version has Di on the lens barrel.

I purchased the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 Di II on the recommendation of a long time forum member and I am very happy. Shooting in the speed priority on my A-550 the auto focus is fast enough that I can follow my little dog around without issue and the angle and range are working well for the real estate photos I do for a friends office.

I do not have the digital experience of most of the posters in this thread but this lens has suited my needs for a short zoom well and the results have been great.

Picked up the telephoto barely used for $50 and the 50mm new for $85!
