Default Sony Price Drop

Henry's canada knows something is up for next week. The rumours about the new sony a560 and a580 may be true. Look at this deal:
Sony Alpha A550 with 18-55 & 75-300 Lenses $699.99

... or maybe they're finally just charging for the 75-300 what it's actually worth.

Frank-

Amazon was down to $484 for the A-500 body today (08/23). The price has gradually fallen nearly every day in the last two weeks.

I would wait for the A560/580 or the A33/55 when they come on in October.

Well I am going to continue following the A-500 body to see how low it will actually go. It was down to $479 today (08/25).

Hey Frank, turns out that A550 with 2 lens deal was a hoax.

They now claim it was a misprint and want 1279.99

Thats not a deal at all

Hoax is probably too strong a description but it sure is funny. I paid $1149 plus tax in March this year for the a550 bundle. it's value sure hasn't gone up since then. especially with the rumours of sony dropping FF and the new releases. hard to figure. anyway, they were "out-of-stock" on the weekend.
