you can also compare the a33 against the a560 at image resource. you can see the affect of the 1/3 lost of light at the higher iso's.

just pick the a560 and the a33 slt in the drop down. There is more noise at the same iso between the 2

It also seems that the A33 is sharper than the A560. Since they both have the same image sensor, and presumeably were using the same lens, I'd like to know how having the mirror in the way makes the A33 sharper.

it could be the kit lens each camera came with. The 560's lens may be slightly out of calibration.
