Default Sony A33 "in the dark"

These were taken late in the evening - pretty dark inside. I was standing 30 feet away in another room. Using the Sigma 18-250. All were hand held. First 2 without flash and last 2 with flash. Auto focus was quick and spot on.

Clint - Now I see why you haven't posted on the Panasonic P&S forum for a while.......these are really impressive shots. I see why you are spending more time with the Sony. Can't wait to see some your captures of your "friends" outside (when the weather is better?)

I find these very good examples of changing the mood of a shot...

It's been pretty cold here and the bugs and critters are pretty scarce.
I've been impressed with the Sony's ability to capture shots in low light. The quality stays good and I 'm able to handhold quite a bit more even down to 1/4th of a second.

Wizard - I really like the "warmer" toner of natural light. The flash can make things a bit "cooler" looking. I'm really surprised that I can hand hold the camera at that low shutter speed. The OS in the Sigma lens is very effective.
