Default Sunny Ice

I like the way the sun coming up filters through the ice.

Gorgeous, Clint! Wow, ISO 1600. That would be a disaster with your old FZ, huh?

Thanks Saly - you are right about the ISO on the FZ's. They are pretty good up to 400 and some cases 800 but at 1600 they don't do very well. I'm finding I get much better pictures in lower light.

Saly and Clint-

You could use the "High ISO/Sensitivity" Scene Mode. Here is what ISO 3200 looks with that Scene Mode on the FZ40:

That is a great looking shot, Clint. I am really loving what I am seeing from the a55.

That is a beauty, and at 1600? wow. It is an interesting combination of settings. You said sun was just coming up? light going on the icicles were perfect.

Very nice shot. ISO1600 eh? I'm about to order the A580(from Germany, prices in Ireland are a joke, just like in Sweden*) and it's going to be so nice to be able to user higher ISOs!

*489USD is currently the cheapest price for the DT 35mm f1/8 SAM from an online store. A future in the States or Canada would carry a couple of positives at least )

Thanks all - I'll be glad when it gets a bit warmer but that's a while off.
