What a cute, pretty bird! What is it? Is it a juvenile?

He (or she) is a full grown red shouldered hawk. There has been a family living around our house for the past few years. Hopefully they will start on their nest gathering soon. They built their nest in my backyard last year and raised 2 chicks.

Awesome. I guess he/she looked like a juvenile because of the dark puppy eyes.

Really great colours on that bird. No EXIF info unfortunately.

I'd be tempted to crop it to portrait mode and take out all the bright stuff on the left.
