Default What is your NEXT lens?

Survey says...

We have not had one of these for a while, in SONY-town. So why not?

What is your NEXT lens purchase?

Sorry, if your wanted a MACRO, you are going to have to stipulate that in the thread, below ... although, MACROs are "near-sighted" PRIME lenses.

Do not alert your spouse that you are making this choice. This can have a negative effect to your decision-making process and the ultimate obtaining of the afore-selected optic.

Thank you for your participation

Default Nice to know...

Gosh, it's kind of nice to know that everyone has gotten all the glass they are going to get this year. Congratulations. Good work.

Now, c'mon... how about 'fessin' up and revealing what fine piece of optical glass has caught your eye... NEXT? I simply cannot be the only one keeping these lens manufacturers in business, although it often feels like it.

I'm considering the Sony 16-80 Zeiss lens (SAL1680Z) . The 18-55 kit lens isn't quite long enough for my general use and I'd like some better quality glass.

I'm looking for a good 50mm prime for my A55.

i want a 35 1.4, (dreaming on that one) almost 3grand here, if anyone can suggest an alternative. In reality, I need to replace my packhorse, the 18-250, It is now the proud owner of two big flecks of something on the inner glass, that wont go away

The much cheaper 35/1.8 really is a no-brainer for the money.

For Full Frame, the Minolta 35mm f/2 would seem to be the bargain, compared to the Minolta 35mm f/1.4 G or the SONY 35mm f/1.4 G. Of course, finding one of these rare lenses is extremely hard.

I do believe that all three lenses are 5-contact ones, which would make ADI-flash coordination impossible to use.

Well we will always want and eventually get that next lens. But right now I need a new camera. My old KM5D only works when it wants to and it's getting to be less and less.

New A77 or used A850? Thats where I'm at now.
