Sony A55 ... look 2011-07-07 for A77 with 24 megapixel sensor and 3 megapixel viewer :-)

Very nice pics. Just upgrade the A55 firmware to 2.0 but can't seem to find the picture effect in the menu. Please help.

The A55 has fantastic image quality...the pictures look so sharp, colours are vivid etc. !

Default Hand held? Wow!

I personally don't shoot macro very often but I sure recognize excellence when I see it. Those shots are great. I love the Bees!

Do I understand you got these results with the Sony 18-55 kit lens? Can you share what basic setup you use in the a55? Vivid? Saturation? Contrast? etc, etc.

Really enjoyed those. I seldom use a tripod for anything but never dreamed results like yours could be obtained on macro shots. You must have had a very fast shutter speed. I see zero shake.
