Default A700 with polarizer filter

Ive tried both a regular polarizer and a circular polarizer on my photos while in the Bahamas but the photos seem flat still, and not the vivid sky and water color I was trying for.

Any suggestions?

Some lenses rotate teh filter mounting rings when they focus, so the adjustments you made to the polarizing filter may have been ost as the camera focused. What lens did you use for these? Did you adjust the filter before you took the shots?

They look OK though - good dynamic range from detail retained in the bright clouds and shadow side of the ship. The camera is set to normal contrast and saturation so you might just need to boost them a bit. It's a good basis for a bit of simple PP though (I used AutoHDR on both of these same settings:4565575)

Most Sony lenses(Kit lens) has rotating front element and it is difficult to adjust the circular polarizer. Just use Martin's excellent AutoHDR program to bring out the color.
