Default Out with a friend. (6 pix) A-mount

I have a friend that I met back in 2006. I bought my second used lens from him, it was a Konica-Minolta 28-75 f/2.8(D) to mount on my KM 5D. I still use the lens and still keep in contact with my now good buddy. He's switched to e-mount now so I don't purchase lenses or cameras from him anymore but we still keep in touch. Occasionally we will plan a 1/2 day to get out for a visit and shoot something. We did recently and these are photo's from our outing.

1. With my photo buddy and the 28-75 I bought from him, we snuck into the pits at the Global Rally Cross event that was going on in the port of Los Angeles. Here's Ken Block pulling into his pit with the iconic Warehouse No. 1 and it's water tower in the background.

a900, 28-75 @ 75mm, f/4, ISO 400, 1/2500sec.

During our outing we discussed the future of a-mount and his migration from a-mount to e-mount.The last photo #4 and this photo is a good example of what I like from a camera & lens combo. It's also the reason why I won't switch to Sony's mirrorless system at this time. My buddy has fully converted to e-mount and is trying to persuade me to make the switch while my gear is still worth something. I have shot with the Sony mirrorless FE mount cameras and their native lenses and no combo in that mount has given me a photo that is as appealing to me as these photo's. I know that there's not a 400mm lens in e-mount. There's also not any 2.8 zooms. I know that the future of a-mount doesn't look too promising but it still produces photo's that I cannot get from any e-mount combo that I have tried. I don't know what I'm gonna do but for now Im just gonna continue with what I've got and not worry about it too much. I need to worry about my library in apple aperture first.

6. My buddy. With his a6000 and 70-200 f/4 lens. It's a very nice combo but I think i'll stay with my FF a-mount and 70-400.
