Maxxum 7 digital is the american name while the oversees version is called the Dynax 7. Pretty much the same thing as with the Canon Digital Rebel and 300D. Dynax an Maxxum are the same camera

well besides the new update last friday to the '7' website... nothing new to report.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Although, we gotta get this section rolling soon. We seem to be the only make without a 'real' DSLR ... well at least one with decent control and a big CCD! I hope the '7' gets released right after Photonika... we've waited long enough. And it better grab the upper hand, cause Nikon and Canon already have developped a strong base to compete against!

Here's an update from Minolta that is completely useless.

It tells nothing, says it with panache!

I know this is not the place to post this but are there any similar forum topics regarding the upcoming Canon 20D?

Yes, look4 forums up to the Canon EOS DSLR forum here. You'll see lots of threads discussing this new model.

BTW, someone that I wouldconsider to be areliable source in Germany (based on his forum posting history), indicated that he had the D7D in his hands some days ago, and that KM will definitely present it's D7D at Photokina.

He was unwilling to go into any more detail when pressed about it (he had to sign a non-disclosure agreement).

Some time ago I read on the web about a 35mm sensor for the D7D and the people being afraid about the price in this condition.
It was the single thing that have a magnetic impact on me apart the antishake... a full sized CCD... I don't recall very well or it was some postings about an atmel ccd chip that blurred my memory? Now everybody talk about APS and APS-C sized sensor which make more sense for the intended class.
Am I wrong about the old 35mm postings?
