Unbelievable series...virtually no noise at any ISO.

Manual, however, seems to not be available any more.

Hey everyone...my birthday is coming up!

FYI

... You may pay a little more for it than a 300D/D70, but imagine getting "Anti-Shake" on every lens! The cost differential alone of a 70-200 f/2.8 either in IS or VR mount will pay for this camera!

Did you see the 'Zone Function' in the 2nd part of the manual?

The camera will pick an optimum ISO setting and maximize a "high-key" or "low-key" area of your choice!

DP Review has a news item which says that the 7D will be available in Japan on November 19th.

http://www.dpreview.com/news/0410/04...japanprice.asp

Does this mean that it won't be available here until after that??? Ihaven't yet seen any such news announcement. The phone sales rep from Ritz did, however, say that the 7D should be available in the first part of November. I find it strange that there hasn't been any similar news announcement stating that.

I posted some photos at:

Nothing fancy. Just some initial snapshots. I'll probably just keep the conversation going there, for anyone here who's interested.
