I had to return my recently purchased Max 7D toMinolta due to a problem of the camera not writing to the card. I'm curious if anyone had experienced the problem, or have heard of anything similar.

Thanks

Not yet. But, you see similar problems reported with virtually all models from time to time.

It's usually caused by a defective or corrupt memory card (although it can be caused by bent or broken pins in the memory card slot, batteries that aren't fully charged, etc.).

Did you try a different CompactFlash Card before returning it?

For a short time after first experiencing problems, everything seemed to operate properly, but then the problem reoccured and continued. I have two cards and did format each. I suppose it is possible to have two faulty cards, but unlikely.

I received my Max 7D back from K M repairs yesterday and everything seems to be working just fine. The repair order notes the main pcb and the image pcb were both replaced. I'm assuming pcb stands for, printed circuit board.
