The pictures on the monitor of my 7D appear dull in comparison to the screen on my Rebel 300D. Reds appear slightly orange, etc.

Are there any color adjustments? All I see is a brightness adjustment.

The pictures come out beautiful ont the computer and in prints of course, but upon playback, they don't even come close to representing the actual color of the picture. I know it won't be an exactmatch, but on my Canon Rebel, it's close enough so I can tell if it's over-saturated, etc..

Anyoneelse notice this?

Not to be insulting or anything, but I have read comments about people leaving on the blue protective plastic wrapper and experiencing similar problems.

Not insulating at all. Never forget to overlook the obvious. I supervise 5 guys at work, and know what's like to see obvious things overlooked.

Maybe I described it with exaggeration. But the color of the picture on the screen is not nearly as good as my Rebel. Is this typical of the larger screen?

I have the clear protective cover that came with the camera on, but the blue plastic coating from the factory has been removed.

Everyone elses camera screen color is good?

Histogram is wondeful, good point!!

But, before my 7D, I was taking pics with a Digital Rebel. The color is great, as is the brightness. You can tell if it's properly exposed, over saturated, etc..

When I started using the 7D, I noticed it was harder to tell how well a shot I just took.

Isn't this one of the greatest advantages of a digital camera, is being able to see the shot so you know if you need to retake it?

Don't get me wrong, the 2.5" screen is awesome and wins hands down to my Digital Rebel, but the color isn't quite as good. It's very important to get the white balance right, unless you're shooting RAW of course, and it's hard to tell with the 7D screen if the correct temperature was applied.
