Does anyone have any experience with the Maxxum 17-35mm f2.8-4 lens versus the Sigma or Tamron? Is the Maxxum that much better than the others to justify the extra $$$. I'd pay more for it if I knew it was really worth it and there were differences I could see.

To answer my own question . . . Yes the Minolta 17-35mm F2.8-4is worth the money! I spent some time looking at all 3 lenses and reading way too many reviews . The end result was I bought the Minolta 17-35 mm f2.8-4 :|. The Tamron was a pretty close 2nd. I didn't see the newest Sigma, so it might be better than there now "older" (current) one. :?

And if you watch, you can find a deal! I bought a "used" lens for half price Looked like it had only been taken out of the box and never used. Had warranty card and everything else. I am quite happy with the deal and the lens :G!
