ok, this white balance this is really pissing me off, because I am not getting it right.

so...this is what someone told me....I want to make sure that it is correct:

That I can just FORGET ABOUT shooting a certain white balance, and then adjust it when I convert the raw file. is this true?

What user-friendly raw converters are there out there that I can edit photos easily with. (Photoshop seems a bit confusing...).

Things i would want to do is change white balance, contrast, saturation, sharpness, fill color, brighten up some images....etc.

please let me know! thanks!

Yeap - that's right
... you have to do it sooner or later :-)

It's highly a personal thing: either get it right up front or fix it during your workflow. It all depends on whether you like the images right off the camera (similar to slides film) or want to spend time in post-editing (which you can batch process with Photoshop) - All up to you!
