I have a minolta and I am thinking about staying with the Minolta brand when I go DSLR. How do you like you 5D? Is it the one to buy or should I look into Canon?

Is there a lot of noise in the pictures and is it a good camera for low light Gym shots?

I find the noise to be very low with my 5D and would reccommend it for low light gym shots however you'll need to match a better lens than the kit lens to really make use of it, but that's true of all dSLR's.

I wouldn't hesitate but I already have mine.

the KM 5D is excellent BUT the KM 7D is SUPERB !!!

(minimum 'noise' is at iso 200 or 400)

for low light and/or fast shutter speed you will need a 'fast' (large aperture) lens in addition to hi iso

taken w/ 200mm f2.8 APO at iso 400:

What was your speed in this shot?

How far away and what lens did you use?

Is there any photoshop with this picture?
