Thanks Nooner. What setting did you have the sharpness set to? Did you add any unsharp mask in Photoshop?

I will see what Minolta say Stevenyc1.

Shot in RAW, converted with RSP small amount of USM in PS. Shooting in RAW only allows the camera to affect the exposure not sharpness. I would consider using RAW for all important shots.

Cool...... I have tried raw, but for sports it does not save to the card quick enough. I will use it more for other shots to see what difference it makes.

Mark, maybe you can inquire at the repair shop what Minolta considers normal shutter life for the 5D? What would have this repair cost not under waranty? Thanks Mark- enjoy the camera!
There's a thread over on the Dyxxum site on exactly this topic http://www.dyxum.com/dforum/forum_po...=1604&PN=1

it seems that 100,000 to 140,000 is the design target.

Thanks for that. I might just get the extended guarantee....... looks like it will need more work in the next 3 years and will probably keep it that long!!! I could just take less shot....... na...... that's not going to happen!!!!!
