Does anybody here own the minolta 35-200 XI? Does it function correctly on the Dynax/Maxxum 5D?

I read somewhere thatAF is very slow and manual focussing is terrible. And also that it usesa lot of battery power.

Is this true?

I own the minolta maxxum 80-210 xi lens with my 5D. It works perfectly with all functions and the photos turn out really good.

As far as I know the xi lenses all have a rather odd motor zoom and you can't change the focal length manually.
