Sony will be marketing cameras using the Maxxum/Dynax lens mount.

So, perhaps Sony's "deeper pockets" and marketing clout will allow a greater market share in the future for cameras using this lens mount (and Sony already manufacturers the sensor used in your 5D).

It's not a worry to me. I have been very happy with the results and look forward to getting a Sony body in the future for my lenses. I can see me keeping this body for 3 or so years but plan to get another body in a year(ish) as I could really do with 2 cameras at an event.

I would say keep it and enjoy the great shots you will get.

Mark

Hi Jimmy,

Here is the relevant line from the press release "In addition, we will consign camera service operations for Konica Minolta, Konica,Minolta brand cameras and related equipment to Sony." Everything should be OK so don't worry about it.

Mark.
