Hello! This is my first post:-)

I bought on Monday the Konica Minolta Dynax 5D.

I've been thinking about buying a dSLR for quite a while as my digital compact, as great as it is, really does show its limitations when going to football (soccer!) matches and motor sports events. I've made a concerted effort the last few weeks and I narrowed it down to the Canon 350D and the KM.

Though the Canon is a nice camera (and I currently own an Ixus 500), I felt the extra features (particularly the Anti Shake) and the the fact it was almost £150 cheaper swayed in favour of the KM. The fact KM are selling their camera business to Sony didn't put me off either.

I haven't had a chance to use it much yet but am really looking forward to using it particulary in May when I go to Le Mans for the MotoGP.

I've got on order a spare battery, clear lens cover/filterand a Sigma 300mm lens. I'm also looking at a Tamrac compact rucksack (approx £33).

All the best,

Justin (London, England)

Thanks!

I noticed on a website; http://www.jafaphotography.com/konica_minolta_5d.htm

that they state in the spec there is a function for Interval timing i.e a frame every 10mins.

"• Interval time: 30 seconds/1-10, 15, 20, 30, 45, 60 minutes"

This would be ideal for time lapse photography but I cant see it anywhere in the manual.. Please can anyone advise/help?

The KM 5D does not have any type of time lapse feature (but, the 7D does).
