Sigma made old version of non-DG models and also makes new version of DG models. Anyone knews the performence differences of two models of same spec. lenses?

The price for new ones are slightly different.

Thanks

DG stands for digital grade (Tamron uses the short cut "Di" for the same purpose). That means these lenses have a special coating to cope with reflections from the CCD. Also these lenses have an 8 pin instead of a 5 pin chip. This may be useful if you use an ADI flash (the built in flash supports ADI). Also with DG you have a better chance that a Sigma lense actually works with your KM 5D/7D. There are many older Sigma AF lenses, which unfortunately don't function properly with the KM 5D/7D. Sigma is the only lense maker with this kind of problems. There are even some earlier DG lenses, which have problems with the KM 5D/7D. Sigma provides a chip upgrade for these lenses. Before you buy a Sigma lense on Ebay you should check http://www.dyxum.com whether it really works with the KM 5D/7D.
