Ok, I just got this lens yesterday so my conclusions may be quite premature. The first thing Inoticed is how much I have been missing a wider angle. Even if I do not choose to keep this lens, I will find one with this range. On to the samples.

The focus seems fairly sharp and accurate to me.

Those look pretty soft. You might consider the KM 18-70.

Yeah, they actually looked a bit sharper in full size. I may be doing something wrong in resizing them, I'm not sure. I guess that's not super important since I do agree that this lens is not all that sharp. I'll probably keep it around for a few more months while I'm waiting for the new wide angle zooms are tested in mass market. I may yet get a 18-70 KM, but there are quite a few other lenses (some are even wider) that I may look to first. I am hoping for a standout in sharpness and speed in these newer "D" lenses.

There are 2 good things to report, it does work on the KM 7d, and the focus seems to be working right- at least in everyday use. (I haven't made any tests though)

Hi Mercury!

Last week I had the opportunity to acquire the "Last" Dynax 7D body supplied/furnished, here in Israel...I sold my Dynax 5D..., instead the "Kit" lens I decided to go forward for the expensive 18-50mm Sigma 2,8 lens.

Among us...my most "Cute" conclusion....such ultra sharp lens...amazing results; use 67mm diam/size filter. Accommodate the Hama C-14 "Wide" UV filter on it.

Highly recommended/suggested!
