do you think a sigma 100-300 4.5-6.7 is a good deal at 80 to 100 dollars ? it is DL. i want to add that to the end of the 200 (by adding a 2x tele) but i havent found any indepth reports on its quality and performance.

G - I - G - O

for wildlife you will need a fast shutter speed -> (large aperture)

the lens autofocus doesnt work it just came in today, looks to be in great condition, but it doesnt show the aperture or the autofocus.......

i had to turn shutterlock off just so i can shoot, ill keep you posted on how well i can use it

i think ill need that teleconverter

so instead of finding a lens 100-300 maybe i should just teleconvert this one to 140-400
and have one from 70-135 or so

is there some way to control the aperture with this manually??

Ok, looks like the other Rainer had it right. Keep us posted. By the way, I just won and ebay auction for a new Vivitar 70-210 2.8-4 zoom for $79. I thought that's a great deal and that one definitely works with AF and all on the KM5D. Although mySigma 75-300already covered that zoom range, this one is a lot faster. Does anyone have info on how this lens is optically? Or maybe I should start a new thread?

I would not even worry about it. You got such a good price on it. MF is so easy with a DSLR vs. an LCD screen, I'd just deal with it. Back in the days my Praktica did not even have autofocus.

:-)
