What would you do to control the highlight wash on the peddles? This was shot in RAW, ISO 200, bright sunny day, edited in CS2,

Thanks. I'll try that.

If I shoot RAW / Program mode, then I simply turn the top left dial to -2?

And do dial settings affect RAW?

I tried using Digital FX and shot my pictures in RAW+ so the JPEG image were adjusted by the FX settings.

But FX only allowed for contrast reduction.

Also, in RAW / P the front finger wheel changesthe shutter speed. Would I get similar results cranking up the shutter speed?

the front dial operates 'exposure shift' which merely changes shutter/aperture but does not change ev value



the art in photography is to make the camera do what you envision, not what it is programmed to do



many many situations call for manual override of preprogrammed settings



try -2, -1.5, -1 experiment, play around, have fun !!!!!!!!

the egret was banking hard right after take-off and was virtually level with me

KM 7D with Maxxum AF Reflex 500mm f8 (ev comp -1.5)
