Strange, but I like it. I took this one when I first got the camera a month ago.

I am very happy with it's sharpness, brightness, color and overall results of this lens. What's nice about this lens in my mind is that it feels like a prime lens whether shooting at 28mm or 75mm. At least it appears that way tome, but I'm no expert.

The best part is it came with the camera for 50 dollars more than the 7D body. It normally runs for about 379 at B&H, but right now I've been advised by JimC that Adorama is selling it for299. Packaged with the 7D at Adorama it is now 899. That's 50 less than what I and and a couple of others here paid a month ago. It was a steal then and an even better steal now. Hell, if you don't want the lens, you can probably easily get 300 forit onEBay and potentially end up with a 7Dfor 599.

I paid $269 as I remember from B&H used in the box with original papers and invoice. It's Mint.A real value.

Sometimes itgives a 3-D likephoto that caninduce vertigo, even though viewing a horizontal scene. Maybe its just my inner ear.

I use it continuously.
