I am using a 5D and have no problems with it with any of the Maxxum mount lenses (Minolta and other brands) but I also have one old Pentax screw mount lens that has a Minolta Maxxum mount adapter. It works fine on my Minolta film cameras (Maxxum 5 and 7) in manual mode but when I mount it to the 5D I get an error message: "No Lens".

It seems to be firmly mounted, etc. Is there any way to mechanically fool the camera or a software fix to turn off the check or warning? Any idea which one of all those levers or connector in the mount is causing my grief?

Thanks for any suggestion!
