I see you're using a KM 7D. You'll find some speed tests of cards, as reported by 7D users here:

http://www.dyxum.com/reviews/cfcard/index.asp?cam=7D

The Sandisk Extreme III cards are fastest in a 7D.

You can't really go by a manufacturer's rated speed. Some supposedly fast cards can be extrememly slow in a 7D (for example, the Kingston Elite Pro cards are very slow in a 7D).

I have a fujifilm pro 40X 1GB, it's very slow about 9 sec to write a raw file on my 5D compared to 1.3 for a Sandisk Ultra II. It's ok when using something like jpeg fine but can be a bit of a pain in raw mode.

Moral of the story, don't believe what the card says, check out the CF card speed chart at Dyxum.com.

Sandisk Extreme III 2gb (main)
Sandisk Ultra II 1gb (backup card)
Rosewill 1gb

The two sandisk cards seem to perform the same in my 5D, very fast. The rosewill card was a cheapie for my old camera but was rated at the same speed as the Ultra II. It is NOT, its very very slow. I'm sold on sandisk (but would trust lexar too).

I'm sold on 2GB Sandisk EXtreme III, I had an old Sandisk 512 in my 7D when I first received it. I can't belive the speed Extreme III card, it make my 7D a whole different animal.

I was going to get a Sandisk Extreme III 1Gb but when I saw the 2Gb was only £10 more, I got that! Very pleased with it's write speed.

This weekend I shot many hundreds of pictures and had to use all my memory cards. I'd like to add that with a slow card while you can still utilize the buffer to shoot a couple frames rapidly reviewing the pictures becomes tedious because of the several second wait between each frame. I'm very glad to have a fast card, even when not shooting fast.
